Is the Drake-Rick Ross Rap Feud the Modern-Day Tupac vs. Biggie? | Ep 733
Rapper Rick Ross and his entourage were allegedly jumped after playing Kendrick Lamar’s recent diss track, “Not Like Us,” to mock Drake during a show in his home territory of Canada. With Lamar’s diss track being the hottest song of the summer, the cultural rot of rap continues to plague America. Jason says the song is one of the most divisive and grotesque messages ever recorded by the music industry and furthers the plot to remove the virtues of the Bible with a secular worldview.

Black Pastor Preaches the Gospel of Kamala Harris
Просмотров 30 тыс.19 часов назад
Politics from the pulpit seem to be the norm for a certain segment of the “Christian” church. An idolatrous pastor pleads with his congregation to help send Kamala Harris to the big office at the White House. Jason exposes another example of the identity politics of those stuck on the Democrats' plantation. “Racial idolatry has destroyed the ‘black’ church. Worshiping skin color. I would love t...

Bronny James told the media he never really thought about playing in the NBA alongside his dad. Maybe he should have told LeBron that; the Lakers might be in better shape. Little LeBron was the 55th overall pick in the NBA, but with all the hype, you’d think he was the team's biggest off-season acquisition, and he may actually be. Jason and Steve Kim discuss the nepotism in L.A. and why it may ...

Just Play: All Junior has to do is play, play well, represent his family properly, be himself, and just grow and develop .... All of the other stuff is garbage concerning anything political, social, and provision concerning opportunity. Look, he's playing basketball for a living, and he can go either way when it comes to his actual game, the 'work' is what he puts into it and what he gets out of it, that will be the story. Media: The 'set up' is when the media says how good he'll be and projections concerning his abilities and then they go way one way or the other .... You cannot allow the media to set you up to fail, this is the problem, no need for the media to set you up period with fame, attention, or a 'look at me' mentality, just doesn't work out. Opportunities: James career theme has been the same -- he can get you there, the rest is up to you. What do we see with James? AT his peak, he's a good player that does a little bit of everything well and if you hire him, he can get you from training camp to the NBA Finals. Earlier in his career we saw him and he would always pass the ball to make 'the right play' while being criticized for not taking the shot or being as aggressive as need be ... the mentality James has is he'll 'get you there', which is what he provided for Junior, the rest is up to Junior to make the shot. 4-6: James is a 40% winner (4 out of 10) and a 60% loser (6 out of 10) in the NBA Finals at the highest levels of basketball. What does this mean? It means, he's showing you his mentality -- he'll get you there, but the rest is up to you, that's the type of player he is, was, and always has been, which is why he's needed other franchise players to win. The Dream: The dream James had was to play with his son, now this dream has been fulfilled and will actually materialize in training camp and in the first game of the NBA season; the coaching staff and players are in place, and it's all done to fulfill the dreams of James. Politics & Society: Having athletes to deal with politics and society outside of the actual arena is NEVER a good idea; there will always be talented people who have been there and done that in those realms; what you can do if you choose to go that route is talk to people who have engaged and are engaging in public policy and how it positively benefits a region, state, city and local community. As far as actual behaviors, this is something each person can control; there's nothing wrong with a professional athlete doing well in their field, much like you want a scientist, health care provider, curer, scribe, and writer to succeed in their field, all fields need to be respected in any society but athletics is for games, sport, entertainment, and relaxation while respecting the achievements of great performers, nothing more, nothing less.

Jason, I whole-heartedly agree with your take on Stephen A. Smith. But I disagree with your take on Angel Reese as ROTY and your negative take on Caitlan Clark, especially after Caitlan's triple double against the Liberty today. And the game today was actually one of the few WNBA games I had fun watching.

I think the fans and the men on these platforms are the ones causing the issue. Everybody has put so much expectation on CC and the other rookies, that it is causing so much resentment throughout the wnba. The comparison, the rivalry everyone keeps going on about is too much for anybody. It’s people like you and those with platforms who need to let these young ladies just play.

I appreciate Whitlock mentioning 50 Cent (probably in response to my comments a few months ago), but I think there are some distinctions Whitlock is really failing to make here. First of all, even if Kendrick is from the streets , his sound is too dorky and geeky to be considered hardcore gangster rap. He sounds so harmless that white kids in the suburbs listen to him because he sounds like a hamster verbalizing in human language. Second, Drake’s music is mainly for females, both minority and white. They like hearing him endlessly drone on about relationships and romance and emotions. So the idea that this is some hardcore street battle influencing the general culture is a stretch. It’s only true in the sense that this level of vitriol is not typical of regular non-urban society. But both sides of this beef are so not gangster that it’s hard to accept the narrative that this is a street battle. Contrary to what Whitlock argues, actual gangster rap is not that popular with the mainstream of white America (and even most of black America). To take just one example, Nipsey Hussle had virtually no white fans, nor did he have many black fans. He was just glorified by black America posthumously, much of the time by people who did not even know his music. If gangster rap (as opposed to fruit pop rap) was mainstream, Nipsey Hussle would have been far more popular than he was. But his sales don’t even remotely compare to someone like Drake.
